Derived from the Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care Model, a Blueprint Model Program, in which BFDI participated from 2002-2005. BFDI believes that the best place for youth to flourish is in a home where responsible adults support their successful growth and development. Treatment Foster Care provides an intensive community-based treatment program to youth in need of foster care services. This holistic program aims to empower and unify youth, foster families, and biological families to develop a cohesive team. Their primary goals are to help the youth maintain community based status, develop productive and healthy relationships with their family and friends, realize academic achievement, and develop optimistic goals for the futures.
Eligibility Criteria: Youth are referred exclusively through the CMO and Wayne County Department of Children and Family Services. For more information on the Treatment Foster Care, please contact 313-758-0150.
