Your Essential Services (Y.E.S.)

Overview

Your Essential Services Program (YES) helps Detroit residents who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless with assistance in finding and securing safe and suitable housing and identify ways to avoid further homelessness. YES II helps Detroit residents residing in the Osborn Community.

YES Program Goal

Our goal is to ensure that your basic needs for survival, food, clothing and shelter are being met and to help you work towards re-establishing safe and affordable housing.

YES Program Services
The YES program is a 90 day program that provides you with resources for housing, clothing, food, securing stable income, transportation assistance, money management, advocacy with utility providers, education on your rights when you rent a home. Your participation is totally voluntary.

This program is funded by the City of Detroit and there are no costs to you for services.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Residents of the City of Detroit
  • People who are on the street homeless, residing in shelters, or in temporary placements, or living in a home but are at risk for becoming homeless, due to eviction, foreclosure, or sudden loss of income.
